PDF export of gradient transparent area will be garbled cruelly if you export
and /or with reduced quality / jpg compression. Additionally Export of
transparent lines does not look fine, but that might be a different problem.

Pls reproduce with my test kit containing a sample document with some
transparent objects and my PDF export results. 

Looks fine in printout.

Same with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [ OOO320m7
(Build 9461)]" and 2.4.1!
