Sample document for testing and further information
this is desired / designed. In issue 18463 UserEx has stated what of the character formats should also be applied to the numbering label. However, for the special case of the Effects (small caps, capitals) this may not make sense. MRU->OD / FL: I think, that character effects should not be transferred to the list label like other char attributes. If one formats his list as a) or i) it is not desired that it is changed to A) or I) because of the character formats in the paragraph. this will look as if the paragraph does not belong to the list anymore. > In issue 18463 UserEx has stated what of the character formats

Oops. Yes, that's the same issue. We can combine them there if you like. I was
searching for issues with 'list' or 'number' in the summary.
It's hard to imagine that anyone would expect character formatting applied to
only part of the item text should automatically apply to the label--and it does
not (in most cases) in Writer.
I don't know what the right behavior is in general, but Writer should have a
reasonable and dependable method for the user to control whether the text
formatting applies to the label or not, and currently--as far as I can
tell--there is no such method.
