Besides saving disk space, this could potentially increase start-up time. I 
haven't tested this, however. The Firefox people note 57% file size reduction 
and a start-up time saving of 1 or 2 sec. OO is 8 times larger than FF. I wonder 
how this would translate for OO? From what I read in the FF bug description, the 
compression would apply to 10.6, but still be backward compatible with 10.5 
(however with no compression).
