Description llch 2003-01-24 00:27:11 UTC
Because CJK has specified font for glyphs, we need to substitute asian fonts from
default english font.

However it does not have correct spacing calculated as it stills fetch single space
from orginal default font other than double spaced on some glyphs in subsititute
font.

DL->HDU: Would you please takeover?

I don't understand.

What fonts are involved? What are the font names?
Can you attach a screenshot of the problem?

Comment 3 hdu@apache.org 2003-05-21 07:34:59 UTC
Do you mean in Asian contexts, when the selected font is e.g. an
English font and the fallback font is a monospaced Asian font the
double-width Asian space should be used?
Comment 4 llch 2003-05-21 07:41:32 UTC
that's right - when doing substitution from english font to a asian fonts, OO only
give all the glyphs to single width, just like latin glyphs. Asian glyphs which need
double width (around that, some TTF has different width for different glyph)
