Evan Stoner, 9/26/2011 Reproduced on Windows 7 SP1 with OpenOffice 3.3.0 build 9567 In Impress, when too much text is put in a main content area, the content area stretches but maintains the same font size. In PowerPoint, when too much text is put in a main content area, the content area maintains its size but the font size reduces to accommodate the extra text. The behavior of PowerPoint is desirable, as the overflowing text in Impress goes off screen and therefore cannot be seen during the presentation. PowerPoint ensures that all inserted text is visible during the presentation. To reproduce: 1. Create an empty presentation in Impress. 2. In the text area, copy and paste "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Quisque vel dapibus nulla. Nulla sit amet rhoncus enim. Duis cursus rhoncus purus sed imperdiet. Sed nibh felis, accumsan eget placerat id, posuere pharetra neque. Praesent tincidunt quam et risus posuere lobortis auctor eros auctor." three times. 3. The text area gets taller, and the text size remains the same. 4. Click Slide Show / Slide Show to see that the overflowing text cut off. |
