after a sheet is protected, background turns into dark grey if value highlighting
is enabled, 

for ergonimic reasons it should be possible to adjust the color, for example
get a lighter grey.

a lot of users complain about the bad contrast (e.g. the dark green formular
results with grey background).

a good example is the new selection transparancy adjustment
in "tools – options – view" where users can adjust the transparency 
level to their needs.
