Description airwolf85 2010-10-08 03:48:38 UTC
It occurs to me, that it could be useful to have a version of OpenOffice available for smartphones; a "mobile" version. It would save user of Blackberrys (and other devices?) from having to pay for the Premium version of "Documents to Go". How does this sound? A possibility?

Why don't you start such a port ? Sourcecode is available...it just has to be ported to the platform of your needs: http://hg.services.openoffice.org or http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#tested-sdk Maybe you'd like to join the porting project: http://porting.openoffice.org/

Hello ja! Thanks for the input here! I'm such a "newbie" at this, I wouldn't know how to "start a port". Or for that matter, how to work with source code. I'd gladly join a "porting project", if I knew what I was doing. :-) I'd love to be able to "port" a version to a Blackberry "platform". I'll check out the links you've given me here.
