Description Graham Perrin 2010-11-06 18:10:56 UTC
The dialogue 'JRE is Defective' simply steers the user (on Mac OS X, wrongly; that's issue 115439). By keying command-, for Preferences…, the Options dialogue appears. = Suggestion for improvement = Instead of an 'OK' button in the 'JRE is Defective' dialogue (being defective is *not* OK ;) there could be a button that opens the Preferences… (Options) dialogue. Ideally with the Java pane selected.

Can we do this? Is this a valid idea for all platforms?

@clu: What do you think of this idea? Do you know of any message boxes which do this already?
