I've reproduce this behaviour on OpenOffice.org 3.2.1.
Running Win XP SP3.

Steps to reproduce(Example):
 1. Create a new presentation.
 2. Create a new Rectangle.
 3. Choose a Rectangle.
 4. Go to menu Slide Show-> Costom Animation
 5. Go to Tasks-> Costom Animation-> Modify effect-> Add
 6. Go to Costom Animation-> Entrance-> Basic-> Random Bars-> OK

The custom animation function of Impress is comparatively inferior in quality to
the same function of PowerPoint.

I would like to improve the Costom Animation quality of Impress.

And what exactly is defect and does not work like it is intended to? Is this
more an ehancement than a defect?

This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated
within the last year. Please provide feedback as requested and re-test with the the latest version of OpenOffice - the problem(s) may already be addressed.
