When presenting something as a powerpoint, I have to present using office. The
problem is that when I present, because I use openoffice, sometimes the
powerpoint won't display properly.
These compatability issues could be solved by adding an item to the "save as"
menu. This would be for completed presentations, and what it could do would be
to process each slide, but as an image, and save it into a ".ppt" format. I
understand that this could have potential problems with things like animation,
but I think that this could be solved, and even if it can't, I believe it would
be worth it.

I believe this is related to saving a .odp presentation file as .ppt. I noticed this when we save a .odp file as .ppt using IMPRESS, some compatibility issues occur and the.ppt file will not have all the features as .odp file.
