Description rcabane 2003-02-20 07:02:08 UTC
About line drawing abilities of OO.o (both writer & draw): there are a lot of proposed "tips" (lines terminators), as dashed lines styles. But nothing about zig-zag lines. Would be nice & simple: juste add possible lateral moves to the line drawing algorithm.

So we start. Good ! Just a note. How should we arrange box borders ? /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ / Nice box \ \ you can't / / miss it ! \ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ \ Not so nice box \ / see to the right/ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ More later ! Robert

Correction: /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ \ VERY / / Nice box \ \ you can't / / miss it ! \ \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ So the extended line types should be thought as box borders, even if the box's width is 0 (e.g. straight line). Another decision should be taken before starting: should lines be drawn as a repeating bitmap pattern, or as a chain of vectors ? Robert

Of course you can do wavy underlining, even in various directions with Draw or Calc. It's quite limited, however. What about a "spring" ? _____________ / / \ \ / / \ \ / @ .. a spring that you could stretch ?

Isn't this one fixed in OOo 2.0?
Comment 8 rcabane 2007-04-07 20:58:36 UTC
Yes OOo 2.0 added wavy underline types in Writer ; but not for frames nor within Draw.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
