(Between feature request and defect, I see it as a defect in comparison with IssueZilla...)

I cannot set the issues I report to NEW (not availanle in the Status listbox) while I can do it for issues reported by others.

One "could" argument: "you cannot be judge and party. Of course you would always confirm your own issues!"
Yes, but on the other hand, one can expect from QA members, who have else CANCONFIRM rights, to apply the same healthy and professionnal thinking for their own issues.
So please, extend CANCONFIRM to the own issues. This will speed up the process.
