Description Francesca 2011-08-02 15:41:00 UTC
In Writer (and Calc), the scroll down and scroll left and right buttons (but not the scroll up button) are missing the top, right and left edge, respectively, when you mouse-over them; the edge comes and goes as the buttons are clicked to scroll.

scroll thumbs affecting icon edge

I can reproduce in Ooo-dev 3.4.0 DEV300m106 (Build:9582) on a Compaq running Windows Vista Build 6001.

This occurs in all dialogs with scroll bars except for the Windows File options to Open, Save As, and Export.

This also occurs in Impress, Draw, Base, and Math.

I noticed the scroll bar has an affect on each button. Assuming that the behavior of the scroll Up arrow button is normal, the scroll Down and scroll Right buttons exhibit normal behavior when the thumb of the scroll bar is adjacent to it (see "scroll thumbs affecting icon edge" attachment). With the scroll Left button, the edge will still disappear on the mouse over, but wont disappear while clicking.

Confirm this behavior as described, in 3.3 and 3.4 Beta. The Scroll Up arrow-button, on mouse-over, displays a four-sided box until mouse-departs, even during click (scrolling operation); this is probably the desirable mode of operation. The other three arrows don't.

A trivial bug, but it looks kind of funny.
