Description mjcervan 2012-10-23 00:47:19 UTC
When using OpenOffice.org Writer it is not possible to drag highlight an equation that has been entered left aligned. However, if the equation is entered centered or aligned right then it becomes possible to drag highlight the equation.

Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1, 64-bit Edition
Version: OpenOffice.org 3.4.1 AOO341m1(Build:9593) – Rev. 1372282

Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Open OpenOffice Writer.
2. From the formatting tool bar make sure Align Left is selected
3. Then from the Menu bar select Insert->Object->Formula
4. Enter f(x) = x
5. Click out of the formula editor
6. Now try to select the formula by clicking and dragging either from left to right or right to left.

Expected results:
Ability to drag-highlight a formula regardless of its alignment.

The selection failed, because the cursor cannot be set before the object.
