Description Laura 2012-12-14 06:57:41 UTC
Just did the update of Apache Open Office - will not open any documents (all files open in text edit format)

Says it's not recognized -

Thanks for some assistance - I should have kept the older version!!!

May be your are hit by the issue mentioned in our release notes - https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/AOO+3.4.1+Release+Notes - in section Known Issues. AOO 3.4 and AOO 3.4.1 are not yet signed. Thus, may be the new MacOS X Lion Gatekeeper causes the trouble.
Please try out the workaround which is referenced in the release notes.
Please report back, if this solves the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Our Bugzilla issue tracking system is for reporting reproducible defects in Apache OpenOffice. For "how to" questions, configuration questions or general technical support issues I recommend that you use our Community Support Forum to ask your question.
