If you have e.g. 3 bar-diagrams in calc on the same sheet, showing similar data, then you should use the same scale on the y-axis for the 3 diagrams so the viewer easily can compare the sizes and gets a feeling for the numbers.
This can only be done manually. Now suppose you add a new diagram or just a new bar to one of your 3 diagrams, this could mean you had to change all the scales, so that the new data fits on the one diagram.

Proposal: if you could (optionally) enter the scaling-parameters (maxvalue, stepvalue) for the x-axis and y-axis (and other diagram-parameters) into a cell of the sheet (or another sheet), and the 3 diagrams would fetch the values from these cells, this could save you a lot of time (if there are many diagrams in need for using the same scales).

Best regards!

Add an option to mark a chart "master chart" in sheet, so all other charts will have the same formatting.
Or add Chart Styles to Format - Styles and Formatting with existing Cell Styles and Page Styles.
