Hello, 
only with WIN 8 PRO 64 bits 8Go RAM

OK on Vista, Win7 and MacOsX 10.8.3
(is OK with LibO 4.0.3 
and before with AOO 3.4.1 on the same WIN 8)

400 REV 1484 679 (2013-05-21)
Procedure: 
New database > Database Wizard is OK > Finish
Tables > "Use Wizard to Create Table..."
AOO crash.
Forms > "Use Wizard to Create Form..."
Reports > "Use Wizard to Create report...
Writer Page open then AOO crash.

@ papayes can you try with the other Java-based wizards on menu "File" - "Wizards" - "Letter", "Fax" or "Agenda"?

Hello,
(All Wizards are OK with LibO403 open in the same time ) but :

File > Wizards >  Letter..., Fax..., Agenda..., WebPage...
crash.

Presentation...,Document Converter..., Euro Coverter... and Adress Data Source...
are OK

Java JRE : 1.7.0.21 OK

I am going to put my test on the private French forum OO but it has few users of Win8

I have just installed on my WIN 8 the last version of Python 3.3.2 Windows 64 bits.
( Having made a Restoration Point).

Restart of WIN 8 and AOO 4.0.0:

all the assistants work...

I ignore why this WIN 8 PRO had no activated Python, but the bug is solved by it downloading of Python.

Finally, having uninstalled Python 3.3.2(64bits), having installed successively
Python 2.5.7 64 and 32bits whichdid not boost the wizards, did not uninstall AOO and thrown the Restauration Système whith Safe Mode at first Point.
After a putting except running (and a nth installation of AOO400, the wizards work!

A missing dll or a conflict only on this WIN8 ?

Bidouille does not reproduce the bug on WIN 8...

Sorry of the noise but it is curious and especially unusual...
