ALG: Thanks Edwin. I compared with OOO3.3. Main reason are the fixes for #120559# and #118840#. In OOo3.3 the data is not copied at all, but this gets not visible immediately. The saved, last layout and graphic of the chart is used after paste. This leads to empty charts as soon as these get activated once. In AOO4.0 the data is copied and the chart is re-layouted after paste. The initial copy of data happens when the copy is prepared (on CTRL-C) in a temporary model. In that stage the format of the cells may be ignored/handled wrong or even may not be copyable to the local chart data model at all, needs investigation. This was probably never done/always wrong, but gets visible now as the data gets copied. Grepping. I haven't a clue concerning what problem this report might be - Bug 112829 mentions half a dozen problems ... Steps how to reproduce with "AOO 4.0.1 – German UI / German locale [Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions 1. Open attached sample document from AOO Start Center 2. click second chart 3. <control+c> for copy 4. Menu 'File -> New -> Text Document' > Writer document opens 5. <control+v> for paste Expected: normal number values at axis Actual: X-axis with dates Problem does not appear if you use first chart without checked "First column as label Created attachment 82197 [details]
Sample Document
See comment above how to use
Already Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 3.4.1 – Norvegian UI / German locale [AOO341m1(Build:9593) - Rev.1435053]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile Result was still ok with OOo 3.3.0 and OOo 3.1.1 I did an additional test, seems to happen during Copy-Process to clipboard: * Copy chart from AOO Calc -> Paste to OOo 3.3.0 Writer shows the problem ** Date problem also appears when I paste to Softmaker Freoffice TextMaker * Copy chart from OOo 3.3.0 Calc -> Paste to AOO (4.0.1) Writer works fine This one is a horrible mess (for me) *** Issue 123794 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Pasting the second chart from the attached sample document into Writer looks as expected, if "Format > Axis > x-Axis > Numbers > source format" is disabled. But opening the "Chart Data Table" shows date values. Tested with AOO 3.4.1 and daily build AOO 4.1 r1573062 german It has been almost a year since this was reported, is there a fix/workaround for this issue? Already Reproducible with AOO 4.1.1 and AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1658822 under Windows 7 If "Format > Axis > x-Axis > Numbers > source format" is disabled in Calc before paste on Writer, axis format in Writer is good (number, not date) Please, adjust keyword = Regression Regards *** Issue 126192 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 123239 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 124149 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 124100 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Reset the assignee to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". Problem seems related to 'Format -> Axis -> Numbers -> Source Format = ticked" Once unchecked, the chart keeps its axis right. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of issue 121418 *** |
