Description Marco Poutré 2013-07-30 17:39:04 UTC
If you type "=SUM(" in a cell and start selecting non-contiguous cells using the Ctrl key, there is no visual indication of the cells you have already selected. When the selection is completed however and you edit the cell that contains the formula, the behavior is similar to Excel (You see the selected cell ranges in different colors). It would be nice to see the ongoing selection as you go about selecting stuff.

Colored border missing when collecting cells with Ctrl key, only current cell has red border. Rev. 1503704 Debian
Comment 2 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2013-08-09 14:39:48 UTC
also reproduced in OOo 3.3.0 -> adjust field Version accordingly I am not sure, if this is a defect or a request for an enhancement

Considering all the cells are visible when you're done with the formula, I'd lean towards a defect.
