Description Regina Henschel 2013-08-21 14:25:33 UTC
When you log in there is a field to choose the UI language. If you choose a language other than "default" the messages from Pootle are in Greek. The UI itself is correct in the chosen UI language.
If you do not log in the message and the UI is in the local language.

Tested here with local German and chosen language English and Danish.

I see it in the message "no results" when the query or filter result is empty, and on another message in the middle above the footer, with a "no entry" sign, but I do not know the meaning, and don't remember which action causes this message.

apache pootle server is only tested with "en" UI, other languages might work but are unsupported.

The installation is standard, no language packs have been added. NL people can translate pootle (needs a local install) and suggest it as a patch (pootle is on sourceforge), there seems to be no formal test of the NL UI.

There are no plans to change the local source and break the version binding.

When translatehouse releases a new version of pootle an upgrade will, as usual, be considered and this issue can be reverefied.

technical advice, to afministrator, pootle picks some of the message text, if not all, from LC_MESSAGES, so its possible that an ubuntu upgrade will change the problematic languages.

thanks for the report.
