Description professor_frink 2013-09-09 18:43:47 UTC
I have auto-recovery activated; this is a very useful feature if open office and/or my computer crashes. The problem is that the process often starts up mid-edit, which can either mess up a train of thought, mess up the edit, or in some cases, actually cause open office to crash. Might it be possible to make auto-recovery kick in after the pre-set time AND after a nominal idle time, say 3 seconds? Then, if there is no such lull in editing for say, 5 minutes beyond the pre-set time, a warning could flash up to say some thing to the effect of 'auto-recovery is due to commence, would you like to postpone?'

Tools - Options... - Load/Save - General - Save - Save AutoRecovery information every 1 minutes
Continuously input text via keyboard
red wavy underline of spellcheck is missing during the auto recovery period.

-> auto recovery should be performed during idle period close to user setting above as suggested in description.
