1) Create a impress document and insert a table
2) Input several lines in a cell of the table
3) Apply bullets to these lines from right-click and choose "Numbering/Bullets" 

Expect: The indent increase button on toolbar/sidebar should be enabled
Defect: The indent increase button on toolbar/sidebar is disabled

First, there no 'Increase Indent' and 'Decrease Indent' functions in the toolbar resp. sidebar. But there are 'Promote' and 'Demote' functions. The tool tips in the sidebar are not correct - see bug 124214

I can confirm the described behavior regarding the 'Promote' and 'Demote' functions, also in former versions (OOo 3.0.0, AOO 3.4.0).
I have been told that these function are only enabled in the certain text boxes, but I am not the expert here. Thus, I am not sure, if it is expected behavior that these function are enabled in table cells in Impress.

@Clarence:
Did you mean the 'Promote' and the 'Demote' functions?
If yes, please adapt the summary.

orw told how it is, we have 2 types of bullets/numbering,
(a) the certain text boxes (where promote / demote / move up / move down - 
    icons work fine) 
(b) Bullets and numbering for normal texts, where those icons do not work

And I also haven't a clue what the intended behavior might be, so that currently a fix seems impossible, but the UI and Help are really worrying.
I will try to find out more next days
