Description Karlo Smid 2014-03-11 20:48:33 UTC
Given that I draw a line with 1.97'' line width When I do max zoom in using zoom slider Then zoom slider disappears Expected It is possible to return to starting zoom using zoom scale slider.

That is not the purpose of the slider. Use the toolbar Zoom for such actions. It has the icons "Zoom Previous" and "Zoom Next". You need to customize the toolbar, because they are off in the default setting. It might be an enhancement request. But because the status bar has no additional place for such settings, I suggest a "Wontfix" or "Not_an_issue".

(In reply to Karlo Smid from comment #0) > Given that I draw a line with 1.97'' line width > When I do max zoom in using zoom slider > Then zoom slider disappears > Expected > It is possible to return to starting zoom using zoom scale slider. What did you mean by 'Then zoom slider disappears'? When I change the to the maximum zoom using the zoom slider (3000% zoom factor), the zoom slider is still visible and working. I can change the zoom to any value using the zoom slider. A double-click on the shown zoom factor opens the 'Zoom & Layout View' dialog in which I can choose whatever zoom I want. Having the Zoom toolbar visible (Menu View - Toolbars - Zoom) also allows me to change the zoom. Thus, for me it is possible to return to the starting zoom factor. This is not an issue for me. I second Regina's suggestion, especially because the Zoom toolbar offers this the requested function already.

I was not clear enough which slider disappears. Is is zoom slider in lower right corner on status line. I was not able to reproduce this on my iMac 21,5'' Issue was identified on MacBook Pro 13'' with retina display. I was using maximal resolution. Latter today i will try to reproduce it again.
