I can't read anything.

All script (including font, user data window, script on bottom/top) has turned into "x" or "!" AND original font has been changed. See attachments.

This started two or three days ago and it seems to have affected every openoffice file I have. Please resolve this because i have MANY files I do not want to be ruined!

That looks bad, but I'm sure it is no error in the program itself, but in some settings. And you need not worry about the documents, likely only the graphical user interface is affected. Nevertheless you should only work on a copy of the document till the problem is solved. This needs support, but it is no bug, please use our forum or mailing list.

Some tips:
Rename your user profile so that a new profile is generated on start of OpenOffice. When this solves the problem, then your current user profile got corrupted and you need to work with the new one. See https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12426 for details.

Please go to menu Tools > Options > OpenOffice > View. There is an item "Use system font for user interface". Is it checked or not? Toggle it. Does this solve the problem? Then one of the fonts on your system is corrupted.

You use an OpenOffice.org version 3. In the meantime version 4.0.1 (now "Apache OpenOffice") is released and version 4.1 is coming soon. Perhaps you uninstall version 3 and install a version 4?

Try to make a list of things that happened around the three days before. Are any updates done? Has a new program been installed? Does someone else has used your computer?
