Upon installing 4.1.0 the Open Office desktop icon has been replaced by a generic windows icon with correct wording underneath. The link does work and opens the GUI, so all programs are available.

I saw this once, but it was not reproducible which is necessary to fix something. Therefore I keep status "unconfirmed".

To solve your problem right-click the icon and click on "Properties". Click on "Other symbol" and choose the icon top-left in the list.

Blank icon on the desk top and task bar.

Blank icon, installed yesterday (9/9/19) twice with same result.
Removed OOO profile and restarted ooo with same result too.

Laptop is only a year old HP Pavilion of reasonable spec. Windows 10.

Hi, Resolved my issue by going to the shortcut's properties, then the shortcut tab and selecting "Change Icon" where it allowed me to select the icon and it applied it. Thanks.

According to Comment 3 I set this issue to FIXED.
