Why create another report? It will be better to add comment on issue 85945 directly. Just remember that XLS is an outdated format. I don't know if developer team put resource to maintain it. Now, Microsoft use and recommand XLSX. To be continuted on #85945 *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of issue 85945 *** (In reply to oooforum from comment #1) > Why create another report? > It will be better to add comment on issue 85945 directly. You should NOT dismiss this as a DUPLICATE. This is a separate issue. One problem is that the message is WRONG and the other problem is that the message is shown AFTER. Any of these problems can be fixed without fixing the other so they are NOT duplicates. > Just remember that XLS is an outdated format. > I don't know if developer team put resource to maintain it. Agreed. But since it is the ONLY file format that can be exchanged without problems, it is the DE FACTO common file format. > Now, Microsoft use and recommand XLSX. This is a joke, right? Since when does Open Source Software follow Microsoft's recommendation? I hope you are aware that XLSX (and DOCX, PPTX) is NOT a single file format but that it changes between MS Office versions to force users to buy the new version. |
