Description Lucia Clemens 2016-08-19 23:21:31 UTC
Trying to create a table on the data base system an announcement tells me there were no Java installed which is not correct. I use the latest edition of Java "jre1.8.0_101".
Within the options I am repeatedly told to choose a path with Java in it. The correct path is always denied for no obvious reason

For me, not a bug but a end-user issue.
Java must be installed in 32-bits version.

I have the latest ver. from JAVA on Win 10.
When trying to create a table on DataBase (OpenOffice.org) an announcement appears always I would not have any JAVA on my pc or it's not working properly.

Trying to show the programme path of JAVA it am told there would not be a JRE. In that case the announcement should be changed in a matter that it is looking for a certain file instead of letting me try each and every path below c:\Progrmmm\JAVA\<Java ver.> which I tried completely and more than just once. Which file is OOo looking for?

It's a lousy game letting me run in circles which I typicalla dislike. On my MacBook it runs dorrectly.

Apache OpenOffice is a 32-bit (x86) program and it requires a 32-bit (x86) version of Java.

We do need to make the messages more clear.

Yes, this is an issue.
