Created attachment 85744 [details]
have combined the two test results (note: "data" worksheets are the same for each)

Aim to print a chart of Foreign Exchange histories for 4 currency pairs, colour coded and line styled for ease of reference.

What happens is that after the first two curve specs (DataRowProperties) it isn't possible to set colour etc any more. You either put up with the Chart N colour or else things start disappearing.

To clarify:
If I use the default colours there's no problem. And for the first two curves ditto. But if I try to apply a new colour or Line Style to the third or fourth curve then the third one vanishes.

And it gets worse after that!

I've retested with a completely fresh install of AOO 4.1.3 on a separate machine.

The phenomenon repeats.

There are two issues. I trust, but not 100% of course, that my understanding of the statement syntax is correct.. at least because I can format the first two curves as desired.

Curves beyond 2 i.e. 3rd, 4th, etc., can be specified with line width set.

Curves beyond 2 cannot specify colors: instead, the default Chart Colour set applies. This prevents me presenting the charts coherently.

Curves beyond 2 also disappear when line type is specified.

I'm a bit bushed right now but the previous code and results apply. If you need more results please let me know and I will generate and forward.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

I can't agree with a tag of RESOLVED. Would like to change to VERIFIED. Can't think what to do about OBSOLETE, the other options there don't seem to help!

I would like to get this limitation removed.

I am willing to do a bit of investigation etc. I am downloading the source code. I have also noted a version upgrade to 4.1.6 so I will download that to a different machine (since AOO cannot be installed in multiple locations on the same machine).

What I think is a good approach to consider is to find how the line colour table is stored within the UNO repository.

Have also written directly to the maintainer of the most recent status change.
