File for screen2
Hello, I did some additional tests to see if incosistency is present even on more screens. I found out, that it is even more significant in this case. Steps I did: 1. I had notebook monitor(1366x768), BENQ monitor(1920x1080) and SAMSUNG monitor(1680x1050) in extended display mode. I opened three sample text files(from attachment) and placed every one of them to every monitor on fullscreen. 2. I did several scenarios to see the behaviour: - F7 (spellchecker) is opened every time on currently active window, no matter which one it is - F1 (help) and other affected pop-up windows have again inconsistent and strange behaviour. Sometimes it opens on the spot where it was last closed, sometimes it opens on the main display, sometimes on active. I wasn´t able to identify the pattern, because it seems to be affected by several things: resolution, if the window is whole on one diplay or if it is half on one and half on the other. Another influence seems to be if the pop-up window is maximized on given screen or if it is windowed. Additional tests I performed on two screens(without the notebook monitor): - I tried to have opened 4 documents, two on left screen and two on right in a split view(you achieve this by dragging the Writer window to the left/right border of screen and it will expand itself automatically), but inconsistent behaviour is not affected(it is same as if two documents are opened) - I also randomly spotted other pop-up windows which are affected. I can say that all of them are affected(except F7), but some of them are solved nicely (for example pressing F5 will bring up "Navigator" and at the bottom is dropdown consisting of all opened documents and user can select which one he is reffering to) - I also tried MS Excel and Word how there are popups handled and I can say, for example F1(help) always opens on the main display, doesnt matter which screen is active or where the window was closed. - I was curious if there is difference in popup behaviour between having some text in document or not. There is no difference I can confirm using the steps and documents from the original reporter with the following System Configuration: System Configuration: Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M560 @2.67GHz Installed Memory: 2.00 GB (1.6 usable) Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Apache Open Office: AOO413m1(Build:9783) - Rev. 1761381 2016-09-29 02:39:19AOO413m3(Build:9782) - Rev. 1709696 Language: en_US Additional Language Packs: None and AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1692551 Rev.1692551 |
