I do like the idea of having that text in the About box. As it would create new strings this would be a task we could combine with synchronizing new translations from Pootle. I would not like it in the splash screen. It is only visible for a short time, users can hardly read the text and it is impossible to follow the link. The splash screen should stay simple. BTW: The link is wrong, it should be https://download.openoffice.org or https://openoffice.org/download OK, I was too fast with typing. Of course it has to be "https://www.openoffice.org/download/" The text will have to be adjusted a bit, since (while in practice this is true of any major software) Open Source does not necessarily imply "free of charge". We may want to have a short version for the Splash (if any) like --- OpenOffice is 100% free software. Download from https://openoffice.org --- and a longer one in the About page.
