Yes, UI texts and extended help texts need improvement My suggestions: Colors Dialog -> Pick color Format - 3D Effects icon on the Illumination tab --> Format - 3D Effects - Illumination tab - Pick Color --> Format - 3D Effects - Material tab - Pick Color Select color on the Color tab page --> Determine a color using the "Color Picker" dialog. In addition: The extended tip for light color is wrong. Current: Select a color for the ambient light. Should be: Select a color for the selected light source. The extended tip for ambient color is missing. Should be: Select a color for the ambient light. Thanks for suggestions. I shall add that extended tooltip for "Edit" button in 'Tools - Options - OpenOffice - Colors" uses wording "the Color Picker". Created attachment 86941 [details] Draw file for test Attachments: - "testFile.odg - Draw file (one 3D object - a sphere) for test - "Tooltips.pdf" - a detailed description of the problem You might find it useful to read "Tooltips" file before testing the issue. In AOO Draw: 1. open "testFile" 2. select 3D object 3. open the context menu and choose '3D Effects' item. 4. In the '3D Effects' dialog go to 'Material' tab. Tooltips, be it extended or not, are wrong for 3 three buttons with the same icon. 5. In the '3D Effects' dialog go to 'Illumination' tab. Tooltips, be it extended or not, are wrong for 2 buttons with the same icon. CONCLUSION: relevant entries in AOO UI/Help definitely need to reflect what user sees on screen. Note: Observed in both AOO 4.1.7 and AOO 4.2.0-dev
