Description tristanb 2003-04-01 05:15:40 UTC
I'm sorry if this is the wrong place, but I couldn't figure out where else this
issue should go...

Notepad does not interpret a char(0x0a), as a reason to move down a line. So
the readme and licence text files appear as one long string when opened.
Notepad needs CRLF so it knows to think 'Enter'.

This is obviously a problem only in Windows, and Notepad is the main culprit.
But I don't think it's going to change.

Is it possible to make "notepad-compliant" versions of these files for the
Windows distribution?

Hi Frank,
do you still host the readme/licence stuff for OOo? If no, who is
doing that?
Comment 2 thorsten.ziehm 2003-04-17 15:50:42 UTC
This is not so important for OOo 1.1. So I set it to the next version
OOo 2.0.

FL->DED: This is one of the readme bugs we have to take a look at when
you have a development environment installed on you computer. This one
has to be discussed with JJ.
