Need more info about: which Linux (maybe Debian Woody ?), which type of installation (single user or net/client), who has done the installation (root or user) and who tries to use it, what about user rights ??? the System : Debian sid. GLIBC 2.3.1, Xfree86 4.3 Installation type: workstation root do the installation first, to the /usr/local directory. then a normal user run setup for himself, install to his home directory. He has no write permisson to /usr/local soffice is lunched in the normal user's account. As I thought ;o) ! Known problem with Debian Woody and glibc 2.3.1. ! Fixed in glibc 2.3.2. ! This task is fixed or worked in OOo 1.1 beta2. closed ... |
