The attached ZIP does contain 3 files:
WordExport-bug.sxw: the original document
WordExport-bug.doc: the former exported to Word 97/2000/XP (garbled)
WordExport-bug.pdf: how it should look like (in case you'd need the template)

As you (hopefully) can see, the two documents don't look the same:
- the width of the text frame is changed (reduced)
- the text frame does not start in the middle but at the top of the page

The original template had been created using the template wizard of an earlier 
version of SO and constantly been "upgraded".

MRU->CMC: The top page border is exported with a wrong value.

The dreaded problem of page descriptors and follow styles not being
easily mapped to word sections.

Verified. Fix will be included in OO 2.0.
