Doc file to show problem with Swriter-Word translation
When I sent the attachment, I tried to enter MSWord MIME type but it refused so I entered binary. Hope the attachment got there. Art reassigned to mru I can reproduce same problem on OOo 1.1 Rc4 Win Xp at OOo it is displayed as two pages, and some area are outside the text area MRU->AMA: the objects are misplaced, because Word and Writer both handle the the positioning a bit differentlyfrom each other, when there's e.g. line spacing of 1,5. Another case for our compatibility options, ain't it? Frame positioning added oooqa added oooqa OD (23.09.2003): accepted. defect depends on issues 11859 and 11860, which states the difference between MS Word and writer for 'line spacing' and 'holding spaces between paragraphs'. Note: The formatting of the space character in MS Word seems to depend on the MS Word compatibility option 'Balance SBCS characters and DBCS characters'. both issues #11859 and #11860 are fixed now. OD->MRU: Check in internal installation set of cws swobjpos05 - please verify. Checked fix with CWS swobjpos05. Verified. Fix will be introduced in OO 2.0. Closed. Will be in OO 2.0 (see snapshot 680m34). |
