Rreassigned to Falko. Accepted, good idea. Using the mouse to change the pagemargins in the ruler should (optionally) give figures about the size. Microsoft's Word does: Press Alt while dragging: ___________________________________________________________________ |<-------5cm--------->||<---------------7·4cm----------->|<---3·9cm---->| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- An alternative would be to use an tooltip (as it is done for the page scrolling ("Page 1/5")): ___________________________________________________________________ | · ' · 1 · ' · 2 · ' · 3 · ' · ||· ' · 5 · ' · 6 · ' · 7 · ' · 8 · ' ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ 5 cm | 7·4 cm ] [ 7·4 cm | 3.9cm] In this ASCII art the mouse cursor is at the || line (and looks like <=>). Whether there should be a second "tooltip" on the right margin and whether this should contain both values, it the question. Note that this can be come even more chaotic using a multicolumn layout. Hello Oliver, do you remembers this theme we spoke about some days ago, here it is again as issue. I think it is a very good idea. It affects also Impress/Draw. Please estimate, if we can do for 'Q'. Thank you. os->bh: It is not possible for 2.0. I agree, good idea. How difficult is it to add a tooltip showing the position as a numerical value? To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
