contains a 1.0.3.1 created formula which chrashes 1.1beta2, when opened
No problem with version SRX645m3s1-2 and OO1.1 Beta ujder Windows XP. TL->MRU: Please check with Windows 98. Tested it with OO 1.1 Beta2 and the newest internal 645 build. Both work fine. Pinkernell, in Issue #12557 there's described how to get a fixed Version of the OpenSymbol font. Maybe this insisted the crash on your system. Very strange. A day later, after I submitted this, both versions do fine now. I.e., I - myself - am not able to repeat the problem with my own file. However, this could be due to the fact that I deinstalled some small W98 program which I recently installed via direct Internet access to MS server. It´s called something like "Microsoft ... IME", some kind of keyboard or font manager for displaying fonts in the internet browser or email client (in my case Mozilla which prompted the download), and appears as a small blueish rectangle in the system tray displaying the present settings in form of "DE" (German here). I had no problems with the formula editor in both 1.0.3.1 and 1.1beta2 (new opens_.ttf not installed, kept opens_.ttf from 1.0.3.1) for a long time up to some weeks ago. I can´t remember whether that was the time when this "MS IME" got installed on my computer. It could very well have been. Guido Closed. |
