Description madmaxx 2003-06-04 17:23:28 UTC
hi!
when importing graphics, the graphics always get automatically assigned names
"graphics1, graphics2,..." in the navigator. so, having dozens of graphics you
either have to rename each new imported one, or you have no real possibility
to browse them later. my suggestion is to automatically assign them the file
name of the imported graphic during import. this will avoid the need to rename
all imported graphics manually.
thanks! :-)

Graphics in writer are still named "graphic##" in v2.4 which makes it difficult
to recognize them when a lot of graphics are used. The suggestion is to use the
file name (with spaces replaced by "_" maybe) for a newly inserted graphic to
help the use distinguish between them and save the work of renaming each and
every graphic.

Updated platform information.

Valid request, although may be it can't be accomplished without additional thoughts: what if the same picture is used several times in the document? But named Shapes also will be listed several times with same name without problems ...
