Description pmjd 2003-06-09 10:29:38 UTC
The previous report I filed (no 15333) was only partly answered.

When altering the background of a slide by right clicking then following
"slide" -> "Page setup"
You can select from colours, bitmaps, gradients and hatching etc.

Would it be possible to include the same level of flexability for slide
backgrounds as are available for shapes?

i.e. custom manipulation of gradient settings and colours, importing of
bitmaps.

I know that gradients can be edited by other options and custom ones created
but it is a rather cumbersome workaround instead of being able to do it there
and then.

Cheers,
Paul

The defining of the fill attributes happenes at just one spot
(Format/Area dialog) for objects and the page. Assingning is possible
via two dialogs (Format/Area and Page Setup (menu and context menu)).
Defining of fill should also be possible at each spot, where it can be
assigned to enable fluent work. Currently it is missing in the
contextmenu of the page (page setup), in the conetxtmenu of objects it
possible (area). The tabpages for defining the fill (color, bitmap,
gradient, hatching) should be added to the pae setup dialog.
