Description thomaszillinger 2003-06-13 09:13:23 UTC
In the pop up menus 'Page', 'Edit Paragraph Style', 'Character'... it would be
really helpful to have a 'Apply' button to be able to experiment with some
settings, which immediatly apply.

I am changing this to an enhancement. It is not a bug, but would be
nice to have.

confirming as a new enhancement issue, reassigning to requirements.

Yes, this is very important. The current system of having to click "ok" before
seeing changes is annoying, because then you have to go back if you don't like
what you've just done.

There are several other requests for "Apply" buttons dating back to 2001.
I'm posting this message in all of them.

Does anyone know an effective way to join them, to add the votes, to raise
visibility with developers ?

These are found looking for the word "Apply" in the subject:

2374 (ui) add Apply button in Options to avoid having to re-drill down
10173 (Drawing) Apply button to dialogs
15582 (Word processor) Implement 'Apply changes' option
24443 (Word processor) change button name of style catalog: ok -> apply
45396 (framework) "Apply" button in "Appearance" box
51333 (framework) Add "Apply" button to dialogs "Tools-Options" and
67133 (framework) apply button in options tab
67848 (Chart) add a button 'Apply' on the dialog 'Object Properties'

In the meantime, I hope you'd consider voting for all of them.
