I open a file and then change something in the text, not the text itself, but
the formatting (font, font style - bold/normal/italics..., font size). Then I
save the file as M$ Word 97/2000/XP DOC and close the file. When I open the file
again, all the changes are lost. The text formatting is as it was when I had
opened the file the last time.
The same thing is when I add numbering or bullets. Sometimes, the bullets are
not lost, but substituted by numbering.
The only thing that is never lost is the typing.
It's really annoying to change the styles again every time when you open the
file. Yes, we can save the document in OpenOffice format (then the bug does not
appear), but we need to be compatible with M$ Office users.
I have tried these versions and in all of them the problem appeared: 1.0.1cs,
1.0.2cs, 1.0.3cs. I hope this bug will be fixed in OO1.1.
I can send you a file which makes these problems if you cannot reproduce the error.

Thanks very much

could you be more precise as to what you change? is it the character
formats? Because they seem to be preserved for me in 1.1 rc1. If I
change a word to italic, save as word, and reopen, the word is still
italic.
