Description gorn 2003-07-02 19:11:30 UTC
Visited hyperlinks change their colour in a way I do not understand. Either it
is not documented anywhere or it is a bug. Particularry: where can I set up the
colour to which the visited ling changes.

Way to reconstruct:
Make a fresh file. Type some bla bla bla. Make a bookmark. Insert the reference
to this bookmark somewhere (i use drag and drop from navigator tool). Double
click to the reference (it will jump to the bookmark of course). Double click
again ...

At some point the colour of the reference changes from blue to brown.

In "Tools / Options - {Star|Open}Office - Appearance" there are two
entries "Visited links" and "Unvisited links" for the color to be used.

Sure, I should have asked user forum first, but my question still
holds.

If you use the options and check the "Visited link" checkbox
everything is fine, but if you leave it unchecked, it behaves
strangely. It is as if th brown colour was set to "Visited links",
which i consider bad behaviour - if you have UNCHECKED "Visited
colours" OO should not indicate "Visited" status of the ink in any
way.

Moreover it is combined with another minibug. If you click on the hyperling its colour does not change
immediately but you have to fiddle around little bit to make it change - it suffices to recsize the
window for example.

To be constructive I will send this question to the users forum and post here the answer.

There are also character templates named "Internet Link" and "Visited
Internet Link" which take effect if the colors in the Tools menue are
not set and checked.
Those templates also define colors to be used along with the underlining.

Also the URL recognition can be turned on/off in "Tools -
AutoCorrect/AutoFormat... - Options".

There seem to be comments from OOo members, therefore it should be
safe to add the "oooqa" keyword. I will set the priority to P4 because
it doesn't prevent people from using OOo. I have not changed any other
fields.

Standard disclaimer: I'm new @ this, & the fields can be put back to
where they were. :^)
