Hi,

selecting text in Writer and switching to page preview and then back: the 
selection is gone.

Please remember the selection!

I remember it would have been very useful and would have saved me 
some work, but I don't see the huge usefullness of its application 
now; nevertheless, all it should cost are 2 additional 'ints' and 
a "get character position at beginning and end of highlight" and "set 
highlight at position of the 2 ints values" and it's "logical" (else 
it looks like explicit discarding) [perhaps also show the highlight 
in PagePreview then?]

I hope marking the duplicate doesn't shut the door on this issue, since I don't
see a target milestone.

This is a very helpful feature, especially for long documents, because it helps
you retain your editing position after page preview (remember that page preview
also repaginates the document, so without som anchor the editing position can be
lost).

note that the same applies to calc (issue 36719) - will this issue handle 
implementation in all applications ? (other also might have this problem).

The Component should be changed to "Framework" or whatever. As said, this is not
Writer-only issue!

Please don't change the version info. As long as the issue hasn't been fixed the
issue will appear. So it's not interesting that it will still happen but since
when it is in the Office.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
