Please fix footers and headers so that they are placed outside the page
margins (as they should be, Please see MS Word) and not within the page
margins as the are now.

THAT explains why adding footers screws up pagination in OOo but not
in Writer! Now I also know why importing some MS Word documents into
OOo results in more pages than Word.

I don't think it's a defect,but a RFE. I would second such a change.

confirmed but on a wrong issue type :) must be an enhancement

changed issue type to enhancement
set target to OOo later (maybe it will be in OOo2.0 if it passes the
user experience)

hello, haven't heard anymore on this issue. I work for the University of Texas
Brownsville, and I would like to use openoffice here, however this issue is
the only hold up. Can someone please look into it and see if we can get
something done. If you need a sample document let me know.

Just wondering, if the issue causes wrong output when importing documents, why
should it be considered an enhancement?

(If it is just an OOo thing, yes, an enhancement. But it's not...)

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
