Description iputten 2003-08-29 10:20:13 UTC
In a calc file with several sheets and charts, the Save as . .htm(l) is not
practical if you only want to use the charts as jpg files to update i.e. a web
site.
Everytime one updates the charts and saves them as htm files the charts get
different names and need thus to be renamed before updating a web site.
It would be practical if a chart (in a sheet) could be exported as a single
jpg or pdf file.

Problem ist, that at the export the chart gets an automatic generated
name (a not speaking name with a lot of numbers within). As it is
possible to name objects (via the contextmenu of the selected chart as
'Name Onject...'), in this case the chart, that could help resolve
the problem. We need the possibility to keep the name of a chart
persistent at the HTML-export. That should work for other objects like
grafics too.

To subsume Issue 21588, the summary should be changed to "Export all charts of a
calc sheet". The format should be selectable (especially EPS would be great:-).
Figures should get a reasonable name e.g.
<calc-sheet-nam>-<name-or-number-of-figure>.<format-extension>.

Current workarund is cutting and pasting all figures to draw and exporting from
there. In a sheet with 30 figures, this is really a mess.

I would also like to see this feature implemented.

Also, it would be nice to be able to export a single chart through an
"Export..." option in the contextual menu that appears when right-clicking on it.

The list of supported exporting formats could be the same as the one from "OOo
Draw", which is already pretty exhaustive!

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

I'm really surprised this request is still pending, despite being present in
triple copy.
I think this feature is rather important, yes, and having it any time soon would
be good.

(I wrote and deleted some sarcastic comments about being a 7 years old request...
