Pushing the first Next button of the installation program hangs the computer
completely. This was experienced with version 638c and 627. It does NOT occur
with version 638.

please give me more information about your system:
- linux distribution
- kernel version
- glibc version
- graphic device
- Xfree version

I can't reproduce on my RH 7.2 and Suse 7.3.
