This is probably already reported. I tried using the query tool, but couldn't 
get any results on this.

Starting up the app takes 47 MB RAM. After opening help and a document, memory 
usage rose to 55 MB. The result is extremely sluggish performance.

I am submitting this here because I received an email encouraging users of the 
StarOffice beta to do so.

As far as this bug belongs to a staroffice beta version, it doesn`t belong to the OpenOffice project ! 
Staroffice beta bugs mustn`t be reported here.
