Description Unknown 2003-09-02 22:39:34 UTC
I am using Openoffice 1.0.2 on Mandrake 9.1. RPM build.

I have found an apparent bug when creating section specific endnotes. It should
be able to be duplicated by:
Create a section - Under footnotes/endnotes select "collect at end of text" ,
"restart numbering" and "custom numbering". Remember what you select.
Insert an Endnote - Select insert-footnote , then check endnote, and automatic
The inserted note will not be of the same type as you requested in custom
numbering. eg check "1,2,3" in custom numbering box, results in the "A,B,C"
style being inserted, so you have to peck around trying to find the style that
maps to the desired one.

This bug does not seem to appear for footnotes and only for section specific styles.

can you please install the latest version of OOo and look if the error
still occurs?

Installed 1.1RC4 on Mandrake9.1 (at great risk to my in-progress thesis!)

Followed procedure described in original issue, same problem results.
Though "1,2,3" now maps top "a,b,c" apparently.

I'm guessing you were unable to duplicate this, are there overall
endnote formatting options that are partially overwritting this possibly?

no i did not reproduce this until now, because by all this issues
comming in, we can not reproduce all. so we are preselecting a
littlebit by asking you to confirm this issue with the latest office
release. if the issue does not occur in the latest version the
reported issue was a known issue and had been fixed and you can work
an. if you could reproduce this i will test it here to look if we can
confirm it.
why are you thinking installing OOo1.1RC4 is a risk? it does not touch
anything in your system and is even more stable than OOo 1.0.3.1

i could reproduce this issue in my system

reassigned to fme
set target to OOo2.0
set status to new
set os to all
set version to OOo1.1RC4
