Lotus 1-2-3 v2.0A files created with SCO Procalc ~1989 none

Description apjjr 2003-09-03 04:17:21 UTC
Most of the time the OOo 1.1rc3 wk1 filter sometimes reads the first row and
then thinks it is done and presents the file as imported. Other times it has
just crashed the application.

I can send you some sample files if you want.

Hi Eike,

can you have a look on it ?

Excel 2k3 opens them just fine.

Daniel is the owner of the Lotus filter (currently on vacation, don't
expect response before Sep-15).

According to the OpenOffice.org roadmap
(http://tools.openoffice.org/releases) this issue was retargeted to
OOo Later.

no crash, so no blocking of 21786

I have discovered that loading these files in MS Excel 97 and selecting
File->Save As from the menu and saving as a .WK1 file creates a file that is
loadable by OOo 1.1.1. This tends to prove that SCO Procalc creates a
peculiarity in the file format with which OOo 1.1.1 cannot deal, but MS Excel 97
can. If necessary, I wlll load and resave our files as needed. I only have a
few hundred to go. If you find a cure for this ailment, I would be most
appreciative! Although, it appears at this point that I may be able to muddle
through using MS Excel to translate formats, even though a little kludgy.
Thanks,
Alex Janssen

Just a note. OOo 2.0Beta freezes when trying to open one of these files.
