Target 2.0 Target 2.0 I said. Hi Liz, These string resources need approval: English: North Sotho German: Nord Sotho (?) I think the German is either Nord-Sotho or Nördliches Sotho - this should be clarified before approving this (both are used in de.wikipedia.org, for example). I will try and find out. The English term may also be "Northern Sotho" instead. Correct, Northern Sotho is probably preferable. I have sent an email to the Pan South African Language Board to attempt to clarify these issues Liz->David: Thank you for doing the research. I'll wait to hear the results before going ahead with this issue. Sorry for the delay, it's Northern Sotho and Nördliches Sotho (in German) Thank you, David! Liz -> ER: Go ahead with the strings as follows: English: Northern Sotho German: Nördliches Sotho Accepted. Created attachment 12671 [details]
patch to add northern sotho to languages in tools/inc/lang.hxx
Changed "North Sotho" to "Northern Sotho" in summary The attached patch is a temporary measure I am using so we can compile with LANGUAGE_NORTHERN_SOTHO until a valid ID is assigned Hi David, Ok, but please do not distribute or create documents with that ID. I'll create a set of additional language defines soon. Note that the final name of the define will probably be LANGUAGE_USER_SOTHO_NORTHERN to distinguish it from the predefined MS-LANGIDs and leave room for LANGUAGE_USER_SOTHO_SOUTHERN or similar, and the value 0x0201 will definitely change. Patch to add LANGUAGE_SEPEDI and LANGUAGE_NORTHERNSOTHO as alias
David, Should that alias really be LANGUAGE_NORTHERNSOTHO without a second underscore, and not LANGUAGE_NORTHERN_SOTHO? Eike My logic in using LANGUAGE_NORTHERNSOTHO is that a syntax like LANGUAGE_MAINNAME_SUBNAME are usually used when there is a variety of a language e.g. LANGUAGE_PORTUGUESE_BRAZILIAN, but Northern Sotho is not a variety of Sotho, it is a different language. However if you think it should be changed I can change it. No, perfect, leave it as it is. I wanted to know because in your comment from January you used LANGUAGE_NORTHERN_SOTHO but the patch says LANGUAGE_NORTHERNSOTHO. I just want to be sure to check in the right version for your needs. Eike, I need this change in the fix1 tree. Could I commit it to ooo112fix1 with other South African patches? See #i24170#. Pavel, This patch is already contained in the patches of issue 24170, please see also my comments I made there. Eike Added on branch cws_src680_i18naddloc: svx/source/dialog/langtab.src 1.46.64.2 reopen to reassign reassign to QA restore status found fixed on cws I18nAddLoc closed because fix available in >=OOo1.9m49 |
